The Federations internal ban on cloaking tech is the ultimate arrogance and a prime example of Federation tyranny. I am all for private ownership of cloaking devices. What better way to deal with pirates than to hide from them.

I like the fact that Starfleet feels bold enough to not cloak their fleet and represent the federation. But in a real world situation theres no way we would allow our enemies such a huge tactical advantage

@NRE86; Considering that Romulus is nothing but millions of tiny rocks, and that the Empire is pretty much shattered, yeah, I believe the Federation would have their Cloaking Device. What I would like to see on Star Trek Online, is the Phase Cloaking Device, and phase through asteroids or planets.
